Is there a consensus these days for a good 12v system in a 24v cruiser?
I've been running a converter to a fusebox to power my 12V accessories for a while now but I'm looking to upgrade this system for more capacity and make it more robust.
I've been thinking that running an ignition switched equalizer (Redarc) and centre tapping for reasonably sized loads might be a better option.

Running a third, isolated, lithium battery would also a good move especially since I plan to run a diesel heater, inverters, fridge, etc in the future. I plan to install a separate 12v system once I figure out how to make good use of the limited space in the BJ74. I could use the 200AH LiFePO4 batt that is used for my trolling motor.

What do you think about an equalizer vs a converter for 12v loads? Or should I skip that and go right for a third batt?
A sketch of what I was thinking for wiring the equalizer:
