Changing a Lockrite from a 40 axle to a 60

Can It be done? I've got a 40 axle with a lockrite. Can I just switch the two?

The Lockright is the same for 1968 and later 40s, 55s, and the 60s. Just pull it out of the 40 and reinstall in your 60. If you want to swap the whole chunk, beware that the 40 could be a 4.10 and maybe course spline on the pinion side.

It can be done. In my experience it's been easier to install one than remove one. Getting the little springs out was the tricky part.
