Changed all 8 plugs yesterday. Started right up perfectly. Cold start this morning, sputtering the quits. If I keep my foot on the gas it will settle out and runs fine. No CEL. Restarts same issue

I pushed all the clips on pretty well, but I'll go recheck them. No check engine light and it runs great after I motor it up.

I pushed the coils on lightly. They are the original 1998 coils and didn't want to wreck the boots.

No codes and I left it out in the sun and it started 1 St try and purrs like a cat. I'll try it tomorrow morning to see if it misfires again

ok, so 3 more rounds of test starts and no stumbling or misfiring. i have not driven it for any real distances, but could the ECM have remapped it in about 5-10 mins of idle time? i tried it this morning, it was cool in Denver, about 42*. It caught in the first seconds of cranking with no dip in RPMs. If it is a coil issue, any ideas of how long it might take to throw a code? i have a long trip planned to CA around TG and don't want to get stranded in the middle of nowhere.

nope, they were all tan. look honestly good enough to keep them in for a few more thousand miles. I did not use a torgue wrench, instead tightend them to what i normally do on my cuda by "the feel" of the rachet. I'm going to run it for the week, hopefully it will run great or at least throw a code to help identify the issue. it ran great before the plug change, so it's related to the plugs or the process of removal/install.

Denso iridium stock replacement plugs. the same product # that everyone on the forum suggested. they came pregaped at .44.
