Does anyone have one I can borrow?

I need to replace timing belt on my Honda and need this tool to remove crank pulley...

I would love to get this done this weekend.

Is that to just wobble it loose from the key and crank or does it screw off?(no pun intended:p) Long ago on a 22RE - replacing the drive chain and guides, front seal, etc....I didn't have a puller and I loosened a crank pulley off with an old bath towel. I rolled it up like a large rat tail and wrapped it around the pulley and spun the excess with a tight twist to make a handle of sorts. This allowed me to wobble the pulley loose as I had more torque to turn it cw+ccw+pull until it came off.

Not to wobble it off, to hold the crank pulley in place while loosening crank bolt.

These engines spin CCW, so no "breaker bar on crank nut and bump starter".

I guess you are not supposed to impact them off?

THere appears to be a 50 mm crank tool that fits the pulley with a breaker bar - anyone have one I can borrow?

harbor freight has them cheap

Is your Civic a 5spd? Put it in 3rd gear and pull the emergency brake.

Thanks for all the ideas - I lucked out!!!

I was ready to tear into the timing belt and go after the tensioner or the water pump. On my way in I verified each belt driven accessory. It turned out to be the idler pulley that tensions the AC belt!!! :D

$50 pulley - will be here Tuesday!!!
