Ceramic Pro Coating...any good?

Because the ones in here recommending it in here have done it before. I ceramic coated and paint corrected 1 of my vehicles and it took a few days. Like I said it's a lot of man hours. Worth the $1100 to have someone else do it on a big ass 200 series. Unless you enjoy that type of work, some people find it relaxing

Ceramic will do nothing for chips. I have my cars wrapped with Stoneguard, Xpel, or more recently 3M film that I cut and install myself. Where I drive paint chips are guaranteed without the film. Before doing that, I had to strip and repaint the entire front of one of my cars it was so bad, way beyond what touch up can do. Sand trucks in winter will do a number on your paint.
Also, ceramic will do nothing in case of parking lot bumper smears. Once the paint is damaged nothing you can do but repaint. With 3M film I buff and drive; self-healing is great.
Where ceramic does help is when parking under trees.

If they're offering you some service which you plan to do annually at a given price, I would have them write in the contract that the annual price will not increase. Five years from now I suspect they might be telling you that the $95/year is now $200/year. I'd lock them in.

Good point.
A good polish and $15/bottle turtle wax hybrid solutions. Ceramic coating is overhyped. 9H hardness coating. Give me a freaking break.

Well, this thread summarizes my own debate - PPF vs ceramic. I like the idea of PPF and have only started the research. There's another good thread on here regarding PPF. The price looks good, as other have said, and in the range of what you can expect. Keep in mind that once you apply longer life ceramic, PPF won't stick to it. Good luck!

Yes. After 46k+ miles and dwindling MPGs, i got Michelin Defender XL 285/60/18.

Just an update. I will go for it. Talked to the detailer…he will do BOTH my LC and my wife’s GX for $1500. Yeah, with that deal, i cannot turn it down. Same GOLD package / lifetime warranty for both cars.

I hope legit...he's a 5-star reviewed detailer. (He did a great job on detailing my LC...see pic above.) Crossing fingers....
I did PPF on my car, but they had to do a paint correction before laying the film because of some trail love/pinstripes. I did the entire car minus front bumper (due to metal replacement), roof (due to rack), rear hatch, tailgate, and rear bumper. It was all done by the local Xpel Dallas with their thicker 10 mil film. I want to say it was just shy of $5k or so...not cheap by any means, but I can already see marks along the front edge of the hood that have damaged the film but protected the paint, I have gotten pinstripes down trails that have gone away from sunlight, and my paint still looks like it did from the factory with an easy 20 minute rinseless wash or quick detail spray and wipe down. It's not cheap, but compared to my wife's car which has a ceramic coat I would take PPF for what I do any day of the week and I'd spend the money again in a heartbeat
