Center Padded Console install on a 1993 LC

I saw a padded center console..upper portion...for sale on ebay a week or so ago. I think it came from an LX...

I think if I mated this to my existing center console ( deeper than the LX version..no sub or CD changer) that it would give me more storage room and a nice arm rest to boot. The current lid on my center console is hard plastic and way too low to comfortably rest my arm on.

If it would work on my 93, where could I get one? Was this ever an option on the 80's? You think Dan could source one? Or do I have to scavenge for one on ebay or the salvage yards?

The console in that pic looks identical to the one in my '93. Do you have a cloth interior?

Yes...cloth interior. The lid on mine is only hard plastic. The one in teh link looks like there is an intermediate storage space below the padded portion.
