Center diff light out?

On my 99 LC I think I accidently hit the center diff lock button and drove maybe 100 miles on pavement. The center diff lock light doesnt illuminate. I didnt notice it until I pulled into a parking lot and felt the binding that occurs when turning sharp corners. I cant remember where the light is located. Anybody know? Has this happened to anybody before? How can I tell if the transfer case is damaged?

On the dash just under the tach (amber light?). If you can feel the cdl when you turn then it surely is still engaged.

Sorry...I just reread that you can not feel it engaged.
