this started about a month ago, and happens about half the time I drive my cruiser. 07 land cruiser. If I stop, turn it off , and restart, the light goes out. While I'm d icing, with the light on, I also notice that I have no cruise control. Otherwise it seems to drive normal. An idea what's goofed up?
It's a "freature" it seems on the 2008. I know there is another in depth thread- but no solution. It happens about 2 times a year for me. Go away with restart or cycle of the diff lock.
I noticed it only happens when the button is pressed when the car is off, and it flashes on the next start up. Like when my son presses it before I get him in his seat. That's the only time I've seen it flash, and it has always be that situation for me at least.
there is a thread about this somewhere.... I usually back out of my driveway,,, go a few feet in forward ... turn the car off and then start again and it goes away... happens every month or so on mine.... PITA
It is not singled out to the 2008. My 2010 LX has the same intermittent issue and it seems to happen to me more on colder days than on warmer days. ALWAYS when the first start of the day, but not everyday. I lose my center diff lock, my transfer case shifting ability, cruise control, and I am not sure what else. There is definitely another thread on this, as I was the one who started it.
You may want to search for it, if you want to see how wide spread it is. Although I still have not seen a true fix for it yet. Every time I take it in to get it looked at, the dealer restarts the engine and it clears, and then they say that they cannot troubleshoot. I have left my truck there for over a week, to no avail.
