has anyone ever seen or made a center consol that can be a seat in a 60? im looking to get/make one that would work as a seat and then flip forward or back and have storage under it. any ideas?

Seat for who? your pet monkey? There is not a lot of room between the seats for another seat. You seen the under the front seats storage thread?
Wasn't there a thread a bit ago with a guy who had a 60-40 bench that was an option on foreign market 60s? Without that, I agree with Norcal that is would be tough to fit a third person.
On the other hand, if you look at the interior of Jeep Grand Wagoneers, they wave a center armrest that flips up into a seat back. It would fit into a 60 very easily. There is no storage whatsoever - it is just a seat or an armrest. They can be found in a lot of junkyards or check out ifsja.org. That being said, since it is used as an armrest, I have never seen one that wasn't in dire need of re-upholstery.
