So I ordered a mount that goes on the driver side a pillar grab handle for my phone. Problem is the charge cord will need to run across the steering column to get to the phone. Any ideas how to do this cleanly? I'd rather not tap into wires under dash. Maybe get an extra long cord and run it from the power outlet by the shifter into the dash and up and over to the a pillar area? anyone have a solution?

There are fuse panels under the dash you could do an add-a-fuse to pretty easily.

like This.

I've always run the cord from the AUX/USB plug on the center console across the top of the steering column and up to the phone in its mount on the a-pillar. While it's not the most "custom" looking setup, it works and the cord isn't in the way of anything.

Yeah probably the easiest

I use this for my dash cam, unless it is not enough power I think it would be a good solution, tuck the cord into the rim...

Fuse box under drivers side has BATT, ACC and IGN tap points. Also a convenient ground point near by. I used a add-a-fuse on a circuit that isn't even used in the US market so no downside to a failure.

You could also run a long cord from the 12v power outlet in the back of the center console. I did this for my MagSafe phone charger.
Run it under the driver seat and floor mat and up through the A pillar.

The downside is that a passenger in the second row could accidentally unplug it. But I don’t think this is likely (at least not in my case).

I don’t know how obsessive you are about wiring but I would go with the already suggested fuse tap or wire tap route and mount a small USB outlet in the a-pillar. I had something similar done on mine for my obd fusion iPhone. You can get short charging cables on Amazon and make it all nice and neat…if you’re into that kinda stuff.

Having an outlet will save you the headache of running another cable when the charging cable inevitably dies, you’re just replacing the charging cable and not fiddling with the entire routed cable.

I'm not sure I have a outlet in the back of the console. I'll have to check. 2010 lx570

@Artie, All,
What are your thoughts on using a fuse tap on the driver side? At least on my 2021, in order to use a fuse tap I could not use the cover on the fuse box anymore. So this means the fuses could be accidentally kicked if I’m not careful.
Hence I prefer to use the fuse box on the passenger side.

Am I paranoid?

I’ve been using add a fuse taps for years on the GX’s and the Cruiser without issue. I almost always knee the kick panel getting in and I’ve never kicked the fuses so if my wild a$$ doesn’t do it I am willing to bet you’ll be fine.

You do not. That was a 2013+ feature.

Do whichever you are most comfortable with.
