Well, my CEL is cuased by a heated o2 sensor on bank 2 and is sensor one.

I have a couple of questions.

1. Do I need to use a Toyota OEM part? I think so however supposedly there are aftermarket sensors available. If I use a OEM Toyota part, who has the best price? and what is the price?

2. Is this something I can do myself? I was under the 100 the other day and the o2 sensors look easy to get to. Any tricks to removing this o2 sensors.

3. Bank 2 on the Toyota, is that the left side of engine when looking at the vehicle from the front?

Thank you in advance,

They do go bad , not hard to change use alot of penetrant and just crack the sensor loose re-spray and with go tighter and looser untill is is free enough to turn without sticking ---if it starts to stick stop re spray and repeat above . that trick has saved my A** for 20 years.--------use a toyota sensor they last longer-----------bank 1 is the bank that includes the #1 cylinder,--------- i try to replace the front ones as a set as they wear/subjected to the same amount of cycles and debri
