CDL Dash Indicator Does Not Light (1 Viewer)

Which I engage the CDL, I can hear a relay click from the passenger compartment, but the dash indicator does not light. What tests can I do to verify that the CDL is being properly engaged? For all I know, the state of the CDL is unknown and I am driving around with it on.

How common is it that the bulb just needs to be replaced?

On a dirt surface, Push the CDL button in and then try to drive in a circle. You should feel the driveline binding up, making it hard to complete a tight circle. Push the button again to unlock. Drive a few feet and then try the circle again. The circle should be pretty easy.
