Just installed a new CB in the Runner..... I have a POS SWR meter and I'm not sure if its out or I got a bad antenna cable Cant get below 6....
any one got a decent SWR meter I can borrow??

Do a search through the posts here. A few people were using one about 8 or so (I think) months a go.

serial? you should be around 1.5 - 2.

I have one... somewhere... Think maybe Knolly, 2ndGen, or someone has it.

Where are you mounting it?

4 real... thats what I said.... I think its just ther POS SWR meter!! at 1 point it said that was like 1 but then bounced up to 7+.... I threw it under the deck (as you did.. I think ?).. its the same as the one in the Fj and the same one you have I think...

I don't have Ty's meter, but I do have my meter which is an old radio shack unit and is unconfirmed as far as accuracy goes... I'll bring it to the meeting if you don't find something else sooner...

OooPS! My bad!! I mounted it over the drivers rear tail light (reverse lamp area) bent up an antenna mount and called it kosher

My dad has a meter that we used on ours, it's old school but it works.

You guys actually tune your CBs?!? I've never tune one and they have always been plenty good enough for trial riding. If you are real wanting to reach out and touch someone, stop screwin around and get your HAM license!
