If you bring your 14 west, I will the parts.

Looks like OP and you are hunting for 16+

Good luck.. Great decision

i have higher mileage than most of these 200s that are blowing their motors

i type faster than my little brain can handle — started happening after i got the lifetime aarp membership

i meant i will take some of the parts you have on that truck

I knew what you meant. Just fun busting you whippersnappers chops..... ;)

Totaled with over $33K in estimated damage.

Gave me a salvage price of $19,600.00 which I am passing on, so keep an eye out on Copart as it only has 85,300 mi, outstanding on the interior, no mechanical issues whatsoever, clean underneath, and would be a great off-roader.

Now to convince them to not lowball the payout.
They likely used a CCC valuation and they are almost always wrong. Look closely at the vehicles they are comparing yours to. Where are they coming up with salvage price of almost $20k? That seems about $15k too high. You think CoPart could turn a profit on that price without selling the truck whole? Don't agree to anything, they will tell you they won't negotiate, but they will.

Payout amount settled on.

Hate to part with it. But no way I can convince myself to put serious money into a salvage title vehicle, no matter how nice.

If someone gets a good deal at salvage auction, they’ll get a very very good mechanical, rust free underbody, top condition interior to turn into a build.

What’s the VIN for prospective auction shoppers?

As CoPart doesn’t show any real pictures of quality, here are a few for those interested in tracking it.

Can post more if desired. Just let me know.

$19,600 is bit low. I'd guess it will fetch $21 or a bit more at Copart. When I totalled my 2013 with 172K miles and very visible wreck damage, I bought it back from insurance co for $19,088, and sold it myself at Copart after stripping mods for $20,200. Not really significant in the grand scheme of things for the OP.

If you wanted to make a trail rig out of a 2015 200, this would be a a great way to do it. I considered doing that with my own rig but the damage was structural, beyond my skill to repair, the body shop didn't want to mess with it if I intended to license it for road use, and I still wanted a safe vehicle that I could drive to Colorado at 80 MPH.

So help me understand the cash flow here w/ insurance / copart / you etc.......???
