This may be a dumb question...
but does a cat converter do anything on a diesel?
the hj60 I'm buying appears to have a rusty cat mounted, I'm thinking of having the exhaust redone (bigger, stainless) and wonder if the cat even does anything.

I'm looking for a diesel cat

Something that will reduce the NOx, not necessarily carbon dioxide or monoxide, or even particulates as I plan to run bio.

One manufacturer stated simply...cats do work on diesels, and very well...they have them for Cruisers at about $400-900. To reduce nitrous oxides, it'd require a reworking of the EGR system at a cost of about $10,000 aftermarket.

WHAT?
