I'm done beating my head against the wall searching parts stores, the internet and anywhere else I can think of so I'll bother all you good folks with a question: Where can one get a flange that mates up to the inlet side of the cat?

My original exhaust header leaks at the pivot joints, the design isn't a good one to begin with so I'm putting on proper headers and replacing the pipe down to the cat. Everything has been very easy except for finding a flange I can put onto the new exhaust pipe.

I know I could cut off the one on the original pipe and use it, but the original is in great shape and there are plenty of people out there who want everything stock so I figured I could find that a good home or keep it to reinstall it someday if I get the restoration bug. Right now I'm just using and enjoying the cruiser the way it was intended to be used. Keeping everything original is not important to me. I want a dependable and leak free machine.

Thank you

Catalytic converters don’t last forever. Maybe remove the cat youve got and store it with the original pipe and get a new cat that can mate with your new pipe anyway you want?

But headers and a cat is a very odd combination. It’s not smog test legal - and if you don’t need to do smog tests- why use the cat at all?
