After months of postponements, the Charlotte C&C is back tomorrow. New location at CPCC Levine campus in Matthews. With the great weather forecast and its long awaited return, it should be a big turn out. Rumor is Scott and the International truck will be there. I’ll likely bring my Willys battle wagon J**p (no ducks allowed!).

Bring your beater, cruiser, resto mod, mom’s 96 Audi, 40 with one working brake cylinder, etc.

Check out their FB page for info.

Traffic was a sh*tshow, completely plugged up Stallings/Matthews until 10AM or so, probably didn't help that there were road closures/detours for Matthews Alive festival this weekend.

There were 2 impromptu car shows at the gas stations at Stallings Rd/Old Monroe for people who got tired of sitting in gridlock, and people were being turned away after 9AM.

Austin and I went to the Morrisville one on Saturday. It was pretty fun. Lots of cool cars. Austin’s 60 drew quite the crowd.
They finally convinced him to open up the camper.

My grandson could not locate the C&C this past weekend. I dug up this thread and was wondering if it still held at this location?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

This cars and coffee I think died, was only held at this location once and then shut down by people being idiots ruining it for everyone.

Charlotte Motor Speedway however has ran a monthly cars and coffee in their parking lot for years, I've been before and there was a decent turnout.

Yep. This one has been shut down. It simply got too popular. But the monthly one in Concord is still going. It’s now sponsored by Hendrick Motorsports and they raffle off NASCAR stuff every time. It has a great turnout and has an electric mix of new, old, rare, junk, etc.

Yes I went to the old location this past Saturday after over a year or so, and was super disappointed that it wasn’t going on…. Total bummer. Concord event sounds a bit commercialized?

Concord is better because of the traffic flow in/out is overall better since it’s a place designed to accommodate it. They have a few food trucks, random vendors, etc. I kinda miss the old coliseum location in the early days but this one is less likely to get shut down since it’s a legit parking lot.
