Mendocino - I've got a '99 LC and have a box of Dynamat in the basement to put on starting with the four doors.

IIRC, the LX has more sound proofing/insulation than the LC - at least that's what the research said when I bought the LC 6 yrs. ago. (Maybe the LX owners can verify or disprove that).

I think the LX does. I drove my father's over the weekend and it was substantially quieter than my LC.
