I've been checking lots and lots of pictures of rear cargo floors. All floors of fj25's and fj40's till mid 70's have a floor patern like this; with the outer two ribs connected at the rear:

Now we are pretty sure we had original paint. Also after sandblasting and checking from close we cannot find a a single sign that something is modified on our floor, (except the rear sill that we did). Note the ribs on the floor. The outer ribs on both sides stop somewhere halfway. And the mid 5 ribs are perfectly equal. Not a sign that it isn't stock. And all symetrical.

(Sorry, pretty bad pic. Will try to get a better one tomorrow) Has anyone seen this before?

All my FJ25s and 61 FJ40 that still had the rear floor intact have the non connected style. Never seen any early then a 62 FJ40 that had the connected outer ribs. Ribs on the sides were also different also as I remember.

Based on your VIN, you have an early '62, which explains the hold over floor pattern. My '61 is the same as yours. The floor pattern changed some time in '62.

Here is a '60 FJ25 for reference: 1960 fj25 fore sale

Same floor. You're all good.

annies original floor has the two connected with three full length strips in the middle. original 1962 floor

Don't use mine as a reference, original was so beat up I could not use it, replacement came from an FJ40.
Alright. It was your floor that made me thinking.

So old red is right, somewhere in 62 they changed the floor, annie has the newer floor, so has fjfjfj's I noticed.

My first FJ25 was pre digital camera and never scanned any pictures I have of the floor.

This is my second FJ25.

My 61 FJ40 with a surviving tub my camera died as I was taking pictures and never took any others later. Only thing I know is it has the early floor and VIN is under 1FJ40~11XXX. My two 62 FJ40s were both above 2FJ40~12XXX with the later floor. Not sure we know exactly when the floor changed. Back then Toyota didn't really do model year changes.

My vin is 14390, early floor
Clemsons resto has vin 14636, later floor

Eltioloco is in between but couldn't find a pic of his floor.
