Would someone please measure the cargo height+width+depth behind second row seats. If you happen to have the jump seats removed, please provide that measurement as well. I’m trying to figure out how much wine I can transport to future new home across state lines.

Thanks

I can't give you exact measurements, but I can say the ARB drawers fit in. Using the specs for the drawers, the two of them together measure 41.14" x 42.12". That leaves no space at the narrowest point between the wheel wells, so all you would have to check is in the "wings" as the storage compartment area widens out. I think the wing area would only work for a few individual bottles, but no way a boxed up case would fit in the left over space.

Having been in the wine biz most of my life I can tell you a big variable will be case size. Assuming a a claret bottle (straight sides) and somewhere in normal size range I’d bet you’d have no issue with somewhere in the 25-30 case neighborhood. For reffence in a Suburban with no second or third row you could fit 60 with no problem. In a 97 4Runner using second row I’ve done 40.

I love the diversity of this group.

one guy has a question about wine transportation, and BAM, there's a wine guy in the group.
won't find that on Pirate4x4....

Rent a U-Haul trailer if there is that much concern!

I’m transporting 140 bottles during the summer “late July” 1,100mi and they range 100-800 a bottle. They would cook in a U-haul trailer.

I’ll make sure to update with photos when i get the new 200 loaded with wine and trailering my wife’s Macan full of vodka, tequila, etc. Thank goodness my trip will be pretty much all downhill and flat.:steer:

Yeah, 12 cases will be no big deal, I’ve moved 12 wooden Bordeaux cases in the back of an old highlander before, so you should be all set! If not, since you are close, if you need help let me know, we do all sorts of wine things professionally.
