I have a 76 Aisan that I am rebuilding and happened to break the G-clip that goes in the bottom of the accelerator pump!! Now that I am waiting for this $3 part from SOR, I was wondering how others have put this clip back in? I was really suprised to find that this part is $3 and it costs $6 to ship. I ordered two to make it worth the shipping in my own mind...

Also...How do you guys get the "NEW" thread icon posted on your threads?

Thanks, Matt

These pliers work well:
Klein mini pliers

The 'New' icon appears beside threads that YOU have not read.
Since you have read your own threads, the new icon will not show up for you, but is visible to others.

I use a pencil with the eraser on the end.....

slightly embed the retainer into the eraser to hold it and push the retainer in the hole......

an older (hard) eraser works best so the retainer doesn't sink too far in...........

as far as 6$ shipping goes, your lucky.....very easily could have been 20$........

Sweet, Thanks for the replies guys....I will give it a try! Matt
