I'm rebuilding my 1979 FJ40 carb and can't get the screw out that holds the throttle body and main body together. Any trick to this?

thanks.

The can get corroded and hard to remove. You might try soaking it in penetrating oil over night first. Use a large screw driver with a slot that fits tightly. Grind down a screw driver to fit if necessary. Use a wrench on the screw driver while pressing down on it hard to prevent it from slipping out. If you strip the screw head, drill out the head to remove the body and then you can get a better grip on it.
