My mechanic is asking me to look for a replacement pin like the brassy/gold one in the bottom right of the first photo. My carb currently in the next pic. Thanks for any leads, I'm coming up empty so far! J

Yes, and it makes one wonder why?So looking at it someone drilled a new hole in the shaft changing the stroke
yeah, i'm not sure...there's a bit of an english barrier and i don't know if they drilled the hole or if this was done before i purchase this rig a few months ago. thanks for your reply.Yes, and it makes one wonder why?
if you have a spare (or know where I can find one) i'd really appreciate it and of course gladly pay you for it. thanks!!The accelerator pump plunger? You usually get a new one in a carb rebuild kit. I might have some old spares though...
It looks like I have a few spare. I hardly ever throw anything away. A couple look unused, one is even still new in wrapper. But, you're going to need another rubber boot, probably a gasket too. My stuff is for a '73, probably might fit, maybe not, measure yours.if you have a spare (or know where I can find one) i'd really appreciate it and of course gladly pay you for it. thanks!!
Yes, that looks like the correct part. IMNSHO, Cityracer usually has good quality parts.i think this should hopefully work for my '71? appreciate any opinions -- thanks!

Cheers, Pig! I'm in no rush, but it seems like City Racer has the part so i might just order from them. Really appreciate it! JIt looks like I have a few spare. I hardly ever throw anything away. Probably best would be to call @cruiseroutfit and get the complete rebuild kit for your carb, Call early, they ship quick.
If you insist, I can get my best spare into the USPS today and overnight it.

Cool. But, I would not trust a carb that was "rebuilt" in such a way as to require drilling that hole in the pump shaft. I cannot think of a good reason for it, I can think of a couple bad reasons for it. I still recommend getting the correct rebuild kit for that carb and going through it to make sure that all the little balls are in the right holes, etc.Cheers, Pig!
