Carb injector/pin part? (1 Viewer)

My mechanic is asking me to look for a replacement pin like the brassy/gold one in the bottom right of the first photo. My carb currently in the next pic. Thanks for any leads, I'm coming up empty so far! J

Yea well you should provide more info. So looking at it someone drilled a new hole in the shaft changing the stroke. Is it part of the accelerator pump?

yeah, i'm not sure...there's a bit of an english barrier and i don't know if they drilled the hole or if this was done before i purchase this rig a few months ago. thanks for your reply.

Carb Accelerator Pump Plunger for '70 to '72 Land Cruiser FJ40 FJ55

Carburetor accelerator pump plunger for 9/'69 to 9/'72 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40, FJ55. Unlike the plunger that comes in most carb kits, this plunger is made of leather (like OEM). Equivalent to discontinued OEM part # 21353-60200.

It looks like I have a few spare. I hardly ever throw anything away. A couple look unused, one is even still new in wrapper. But, you're going to need another rubber boot, probably a gasket too. My stuff is for a '73, probably might fit, maybe not, measure yours.
Probably best would be to call @cruiseroutfit and get the complete rebuild kit for your carb, Call early, they ship quick.
If you insist, I can get my best spare into the USPS today and overnight it.

Yes, that looks like the correct part. IMNSHO, Cityracer usually has good quality parts.

Cool. But, I would not trust a carb that was "rebuilt" in such a way as to require drilling that hole in the pump shaft. I cannot think of a good reason for it, I can think of a couple bad reasons for it. I still recommend getting the correct rebuild kit for that carb and going through it to make sure that all the little balls are in the right holes, etc.
Using the Pinhead videos on u-tube and the exploded diagrams in the FSM or Hayne's you can do a pretty good job the first time and even learn all the correct names for the parts.
