Carb cooling fan

Does anyone know how to take the fan off of the carb cooling fan?
I have undone the nut, it just will not pull off, am I missing something?

It takes a bit of effort..screw the nut back on till flush with shaft then while pulling on fan smack the nut with a hammer..
