We rescued "Zeus" from the local SPCA on Sunday. He's a 2yo Lab mix and he is a great dog!!

The thing is, we don't like the name Zeus. In the past we had Labs named Ike, Willy, and Emmy Lou. We want something in a different language, like Japanese, Native American, or Maori, etc. My sister has two Labs, Kheone, and Kobe.

We need to pick a name fast, but just can't decide. Can anyone offer any good dog names?!!

Sorry no pic. right now, I've got it at 640x480, but it still is too big?! He's all black with small ears, a white spot on his chest, and his back toes are white.

Koira. Means "Dog" in finnish. :D

"Leon"

you're out in your jammies in front of the house..............

'Leon! Leon! get back in here! It's freezin out!"

My wife likes this one-

Takemikazuchi- Japanese God of thunder (Take or Zuchi for short?)

Yeah, I've heard of that one before, it's like Tripod for a 3 legged!!

Stains?

The hound is 2yo, good luck getting him to learn a new name.

My stubborn 2.5 yr old Malamute learned his 'new' name very quickly. It's all about association. Use it when feeding him/her and he/she will catch on quickly.

if it matters, he went from "nanook" to 'timber'.

I guess I've never tried it. Post some pics when you get them sized correctly to help us provide options.
