We just got home with two of the five. We will be back in the am to pick up the rest. The driverside wheel would not turn on mine, we took the hub/drum off and removed the emergency brake adjuster thus relieving the pressure. The second trailer took us about 15 min to get ready. All you really need are the two tires and tongue on.

Pat was great, we felt bad because we kept him there a little late. We gave him a home depot gift cert. for $50 for our 5 trailers.

We will try to be there tomorrow sometime between 8 and 9 am.

Overall good condition but a fair amount of surface rust on springs/axle and underside. No real rust on the tub itself, but it will need new bolts and lots of elbow grease. These trailers are not new but still great/good deal.

I was there first thing but michele had not confirmed with pat about which of the two extras was mine so maybe tomorrow?

condition was as advertised . overall an excellent value considering the usual condition of mil surplus.

I was thinking I will bring a floor jack to get it off the pallet and get the wheels on as I dont have a helper

maybe by tomorrow all the snow will have melted so I can find all the bolts

Im in for a donation as soon as you decide what the plan is

You don't really need one. Pat has a forklift that he can pick it up while you put the wheels on. At least that is what he did for us. Hopefully they will not be too busy during the day time.

Well...it appears that I cant get mine until at least 01/03/05 because my electronic gee-whiz instantly OUT of my bank account payment hasnt "cleared " yet . :o

Being as this is my first experience with Ebay/paypal, is this SOP ?

what are the damages up in sedona? I heard rumors of mudslides and evacuations.

Im been told all 11 of the ones going to NJ have shown up and the pallets were trashed so moving them has not been easy. They also were not double stacked so finding room has now doubled the sq ft requirement I had to call my brother today from Japan since of course he is having a melt down
Oh well I knew this was going to happen

Just got back to Sedona with my two... Missing 1 spare tire/rim. Pat was very gracious in helping us get our trailer off the bottom one and flipped right side up. He then loaded them on the Uhaul trailer for us. Nice and easy! We gave Pat 50.00 in a Home Depot card and two of my original music Cd's for his help.

Sean and Jarred were just finishing their other trailers when we arrived, so we got to see how they go together. Thanks guys ;)

We wait...

Quote: The paperwork will be forwarded to you next week when I return from out of town signed bill of sale and notarized bill from department of defense stating that the trailers did in fact belong to michel guay (that is my husband)

Yes, I see myself doing that + adding new shocks, sand blasting the springs and under carriage, new bolts and paint.

I won't have time to dive into mine until mid Feb. If you get into yours around that time post a thread I would be happy to come down and lend a hand... ;)

What does everyone plan on doing to their trailer?

Restore, modify, Paint to match your rig or what?

If I ever get my payment confirmed by paypal so I can pick mine up I plan on a depot maintanance type restoration. New camo tarp, original taillights (rewired for 12V) ,bearing and brake attention, and a fresh coat of Gillespie CARC camo paint!

If it turns out the way I want, I may just paint my rig to match the trailer. ;)

My plans are to change the hitch to this http://www.adventuretrailers.com/accessories/Product_Thumbnails/MVCT16_TH.jpg

Rebuild the hubs, replace rusty nuts/bolts. Then I'll...
Add lights
Lengthen the tongue.
Clean/repaint leaf springs and add some teflon inserts between them.
Replace shocks

Future considerations...
Spring over
Change tires/wheels
Paint
Tailgate
Deck Lid with rood rack
Storage compartment on tongue
