this is what we dish out to pay for a loaded C package in Canada-
loaded C package - sticker.webp

the first 4 words I said after I saw that were not clean........

duuuuuude. whats the exchange rate again?

Paid 34,985 + $1390 PDI + TAX for a MT C package.

This includes the roof rack and running boards (things that are accessories in the US); from my dealer, it also included floor and cargo mats. Definitely more than the US but you have to watch because they are definitely packaged differently.

Hi Rip - what dealer did you buy through ? - As I have ordered a C package Auto trans. ($1,000.extra) - but still your price - plus auto trans. is cheaper! - thought all Toyota dealers had to be the same!!

All of the Calgary dealers seem to stick together. I ordered my FJ in January and they gave me $1000 off of the price - not sure if that still stands or not. They were actually really good to deal with as well.

You're lucky !! - I also ordered in January - no discount was ever mentioned to me. ''Access Toyota pricing '' is supposed to be absolutely the same for everyone right across Canada right to the penny!!

Not sticking it to Toyota..but all dealerships/manufacturers in general.....why the hell should safety products be a premium extra? All base models should come with the full air bag system these days...not just for those who can or want useless items like 'steering wheel mounted audio controls'.

rant off

Can't agree with you more!!! - manufacturers should make all airbags and safety equiptment on vehicles standard and leave the extra cost options up to customer choice!

That used to be true but was struck down awhile ago as part of some anti-monopoly ruling; basically said dealerships could set their own price if they wanted. The Calgary dealerships work together keeping everything at MSRP – High River works a little harder as it’s about a 30 minute drive outside of the city. All I know is that it was the best experience I’ve had with a dealership – everything done over the phone and, when I went to pick the vehicle up, they had rounded the price down by $50 just to make the last digits all zeros (tax in).

No thanks. Why be forced to pay for stuff you may not want?

exactly my point. I'd want the airbags..but not the audio controls for example.
But the way they package everything (presumeably to 'save' you money I guess), you can't.

The dealerships in Winnipeg tell me they are free to set their own pricing. If you do a build / price using the steinbach dealership (Funks), they say right on their quote that they are below msrp (and that's on the access.toyota.ca site.

Interesting :)
