How hard would it be to import a LX470 from Canada to the US? (a MY98/99) with the rear Locker)?
Am I better off just getting a 98/99 LC?

It should be identical to the US models, minus the KM Gauges, therefore you can import it easily.

Just fill out the appropriate forms and you should be able to drive it through Customs.

I recently sold four Canadian Imported Vehciles - I just had to get the clusters changed over to read MPH and programed to the appropriate mileage for resale.

- 2007.5 Silverado 2500HD Duramax
- 2010 Toyota Tundra Limited
- 2008 Chevy Trailerblazer SS (white trash as hell, but super fast, hah)
- 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Again, as long as the vehicle was manufactured for the US and you find one in Canada, you can import it without issue.

If they're basically the same, is there a reason you're trying to import one rather than just buy one in the US?

I know many with the mini-trucks swap in the e-lockers to those that don't have them. Common modification.

Canada vs SoCal.... above all, I would consider the amount of rust.

Canadian trucks are ragged on. Cold starts and the huge temp swings make them rattle a lot in the interior. Rust also from rock chips and salt.
