Can you use a 285/50/20 as a spare tire for 285/55/20 BFG AT/KO2's (1 Viewer)

if I buy a set of the 285/55/20 BFG's they are expensive so I want to know if I can use my OEM 285/50/20 if I get a flat and have to drive to a tire shop for repair?

This may help, looks like a 3.5% difference. Not sure about what is acceptable in emergency situations and allowable distances..

I would only use to get me to a tire shop glad to know it wouldn’t hurt anything tires are like 360 bucks kind of expensive
