Can you run 33" tires on LX570 20" wheels?

well, I'm running 275x70R18's, which rough numbers puts me at a 33 inch tire, your tires rough numbers come out about 32.8 inch, assuming your wheels have the same offset as mine(pretty sure they do if they are stock, and are the same width(8inch)) you would be in relatively the same boat as me. My tires only rub at full crank on the lower KDSS bar, but the clearance on the UCA is super tight... hope that helps!

I've never been underneath an LX570, but guessing other than you have AHC and don't have KDSS should be the same, that being said I think you would be fine with the 275/60/20's, IMO

I am running 275/60/20 Toyo AT II's with no rubbing. I also adjusted the front AHC sensors to level the car out (takes a 10mm wrench and 5 minutes).

I had no rubbing before raising the front though.

Why not swap them out for 18's or 17's?

Can you get LX 18's for the 570? I personally hate the 20's (my thing, I know...).

If they fit I figure the taller side wall would off set the rougher ride of the AT's heavier tire. Normal mud & Snow - 44lbs versus normal AT - 54lbs? Think I'm right or just wishful thinking? I know this adds about 20% increase in unsprung weight that might screwup the handling? So if you added 275/60/20 or 275/55/20 AT tires that increase the unsprung weight of each tire by about 20% what was the affect on your ride quality and did you notice a increase in road noise?
Thanks

275-60-20 Michelin MS2s on 2014 LX 570 wheels on a 2011 Land Cruiser. They rub on the mud flaps. Also have 20" Tundra BBs wheels with 305-50-20 Michelin latitutes. They too rub on mudflaps.
It's a an easy fix with a heat gun.

Ordered 275-70-17 BK KO2s for TRD Forged Wheels for the winter. These shouldn't rub

So do you think 275/55/20 MS2's would be the right choice for good quite ride and traction even in the snow? They are not heavy 41lbs so unsprung weight would not be a factor, wear rating 740. My ride came with Dunlop S5000's in the 275/55/20 size. From what I have read wear rating is 340 and they are bad in the snow. Even though I live in Austin I want to feel like if I need to travel in the snow I can. Thanks

I have ko2 285/75r16 e rated tires on my FJ lots of sidewall... Still rides rough. My land cruiser has ko2 285/65r18 a good amount of sidewall, the ride is definitely rougher than my michelin latitudes... And gas mileage is taking a hit of about 1 mpg after recalculating for tire size. Go p-metric if you want a nice ride some at tires come in p-metric.

We are starting to "play" with our SUV's a little more that is why we decided to go LT AT E rated. Plus we are going to start towing heavier loads. If my intention was mostly on road and light dirt trails I would get p-metric ms/2's I had those on my last 2 cruisers and they were quite, great in snow, a soft ride, always got great mileage and they have a 70,000 mileage warranty to boot, I usually got 65,000 out of them. they pro rated and gave me credit towards a new set every time. The only reason I got turned off from them is multiple flat tires on my little off road adventures with the family. I had to trash 1 tire because they wouldn't cover sidewall damage. I didn't buy the tire certs. And I feel safer having a more durable tire on the trail.

My bro is going to upgrade soon I told him go with ms/2's for his 11 LX570... He use to have a lx470 with ms/2's loved it... He hates his tires on the 570 factory dunlops..it does suck in snow and is loud.

I did change to from 20" to 285/70 R17 Cooper STT Mud Terrain tyres (on toyota trd rims). The car has enough power to compensate the changed gearings, but you will feel the change. Please note that you cannot go smaller than R17 on our cars because of the breakes...

To change to AT or Mud terrain tyres will add too noise to our otherwise near complete noise cancelled car.

The Land Cruiser 200 and even more the lx 570 are well build and will catch much of the noise inside till 50 miles per hour (80 km/h). Outside of the car at least city people will rotate around to see "wtf do such a noise". At 85 miles per hour (140 km/h) the noise will get lowder, too inside.

But at a level I can live with it. The Cooper STT should be less noiser than other Mud Tyres (you can read at the internet). I can`t talk about, because I just had the coopers on my Land Cruiser 200, after the original 20" Dunlops. They did a good job during our transafrica, during our island trip and too on wet, snowy and ice conditions in switzerland - and good overall tyre (in my personal eyes).

Looks like the Michlen LTX AT2's in 275/55/18 will be the way to go. But will have to wear down these Dunflop S5000's before I can upgrade because they are new :( wife does not understand the difference in tires. But lucky for me it never snows in Austin and would not likely snow in KCMO when Ian there the end of November. Thanks

I have drove in a vehicle that had AT2's and they were not good in the snow or on the trail... just a thought Good year All Terrain Adventure it's a really soft riding AT tire, I test drove a car that had it on and it felt like a p-metric. Has the Severe snow flake symbol too. I was going to go for these but liked the ko2's to much. Just a thought

I understand they are top rated by tire rack

Yes! Look at the sipes on the tire, you can tell they will do well in the snow

I have the Toyo AT II's in 275/60/20 and cannot say enough good things about them.

This are a P-metric tire, not LT like most AT tires. The load rating is almost identical to stock (the Toyo's are slightly higher) so no difference in ride quality.

Even at stock height, I had zero rubbing. Not bad for a 33" tire.

They seem to handle trails just fine. Similar to the BFG AT's that I have on my 80 series.

They also handle what little snow we have in West Tennessee just fine.

They are very wuiet on the highway. I drove down to New Orleans about a month ago. 500 miles on the highway was very pleasant with no tire whine.

The only down fall is that I have had three flats, although never in the sidewalk. In the tires defense I ran over debris that would have punctured just about any tire. All punctures have been patched with zero issues.

Feel free to message me, I'll give you my contact info if you would like to discuss more.

Good info. Is yours a LX570? If not is tire fit the same with LX and LC?

Mine is a 2011 LX570. Unfortunately I cannot speak on the LX and LC Fitment being the same. However, I imagine if you run LX wheels you will not have a problem. If you go with other widths or offsets you might run into issues.
