Hey guys,

I have scoured the internet looking for a way to identify a clients transmission mount, I’ll layout everything I know about the truck but take it with a grain of salt as this one has been played with a lot, swapped R series trans, modded crossmember etc.

Vehicle in question started as a LHD PZJ75 (Europe), 1992. When I received it the trans and transfer combo (R151-split case) had been swapped with a decent used unit, very corroded cases but works fine…but the crossmember and new trans/transfer didn’t line up….so this last guy cut the two studs off and tacked it onto the crossmember where it landed :(

Now it made its way to me due to engine problems, So, 1PZ removed, 1HZ installed along with the appropriate bellhousing. Had to move engine mounts and the rear is already botched so I need to build something fresh….remember the old one had the studs cut off! which is where I’m stuck, this mount is not jiving with any mounts I’ve found….i cross referenced so many various Land Cruiser and hilux numbers, H and R series trans, even auto stuff, I have plenty of H mount varieties laying around, nothing has this wide of a bolt pattern…see pics for reference.

If anyone can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it and owe you some beers!

Well, it's from an H engine apllication. It looks like a genuine mount, in which case the part number will be moulded into the rubber.

Manual and auto mounts are different.

That looks like a 1999+ HZJ7x R151f, in which case the correct transmission mount would be 12371-17080.

@cruiseroutfit has in thr past posted detailed pictures of various mounts, worth searching out.

I've posted a thread here on the Mud and we have a doc at the shop too. I think we have ~25 different 12371-xxxxx rear trans mounts in stock fwiw.

@airhead I think you might have it, I had looked up 2000~ hzj7x models but didn’t see anything that looked like this…

@lowenbrau is that number what you have there, I need to double check the offset studs now…
I think I sold the one that had the toyota part number sticker. I have several marked 12371-17010

I seem to have sold the one that had the Toyota part number sticker. The ones I have are tagged 12371-17010. I can get it on the way for $50us plus the ride.
