The concept seems plausible, but that rope looks awful thin. Anyone know about this? Lots of Cruisers in the video.
 
It's real. But you'd have to have a perfectly straight line or the wire would come off. Or what if your hubs where burried in mud or under water? Or if you where in a tight rocky area where this would get ripped off when you slid on a bolder.

I think it's made in Australia, hence, lots of Cruisers.
 
I remember ads for wheel winches back in the day. Adding the “fairlead” at the other wheel does straighten out the line a bit. I’ve also seen pulleys attached to a bumper to direct the line to the wheel.
