I am messing with the "similarities" in the front end between a 55 and a 70... Can someone measure the height of the top of the frame to the bottom of the headlights and the measurement of distance of the inside edge of the headlights from each other. Trying to figure out if a ARB for a 70 would work on a 55 :) Also anyone every fit a M12 in a 70 series ARB buillbar? Andre

Also if possible measure distance between top of frame and bottom of front body panel type grill right above the frame, and if possible the height to frame (vertically) of the bottom of where the front fenders infront of tires are are sloped up. If this makes sense....

OK here are the measurements I am talking about. TRhe white dotted line represents and invisible plane that I need you to take into account for measurement 2. Thank you!!!! Andre

9 1/2 from top of frame to bottom of headlight

29 1/2 between headlights

2 3/8 from top of frame to bottom of valence

I don't understand this one.. "and if possible the height of the bottom of where the front fenders are sloped up"

The instructions says it'll fit an m10k I guess I could rough measure the fitting area per the specs on the warn site.
Call me if you need more info..

the last one is about 5 1/4 at the low spot right about where you 2 is.. then it slopes slightly up and out.

You could have test fitted it in moab :D

Thanks Wes, #2 is what I meant by where fender slopes up if that makes sense. I am worried the provision in the ARB bar for the upward slope from the valance to the front of the fender (just to the right of line 1 above) might interfere with FJ55's that dont have that slope. So some trimming might be required...? Anyway, thanks Wes!!

I had an old warn catalog with m10 dimensions vs the new m12 dimensions on warns site and I think it would bolt in fine. If anything maybe some minor timming.

Nice 70... whomever it is.

Oh.. Hey, Lance fitted a 60 bar on his 55 a while back. I'm sure there are some pics floating around.. I might even have one or two.

Andre, let me know if you decide to pass on the 70 bullbar, I'd be interested.

Well I havn't bought it yet, it is not that it is a cool deal I just kinda want a big honkin bull bar. Yes I should have rmembered to check it out when I was down there. There is only one 70 I know of in Utah so I'm not sure about the next time I'll be able to check it out. Seems like 55s and 70's have remarkable similarities. One thing I want to do is get a plastic welder to alter a snorkel to fit on the pig :)

Yes photos from the "post pics of your built 70" thread. I have seen the photos of Lance's - looks good but the crossbars are in the way of the headlights...
