Can I use the old one?

I have mini ps gear box and it will mount directly on the OEM gear box bracket(attatched to the frame).. Can I use the OEM gearbox bracket on the cruiser or do I need to get an afterarket one. The tub is off the cruiser so I cannot visualize alignment.

While it is true that the mini steering gears share a similar bolt patter and the steering gear will fasten to the original steering gear bracket, the angle of the castings are not the same, which is what the aftermarket steering gear bracket corrects.
