Any body have pics of 33/12.5/15 tires on a stock rims?

I just did a better search and think i found it's possible to put a 33/12.5/15 tire on a stock rim.

Now my question is would you guys recommend doing so? I managed to find a cheap 33/12.5/15 BFG AT to use as a SPARE only since my old stock sized BFG AT spare is looking more like a doughnut spare now that i'm running 33s (that and it's beginning to dry rot too) :D

Any body happen to have pics running 33/12.5/15s on stock wheels?

as a spare yes...but as a normal tire, NO, as wide as you want to go on the 6" wheels in 10.5(and even that is a push)

You can mount the the 33 X 12.5 on your stock wheel but that doesn't mean you should. Most of the time you would see a 12.5" wide tire on a ten inch rim, that's what I run. Sometimes you would see it on an eight inch rim, but putting it on a six inch rim really is a bit over the top. My spare is a 33 X 9.5 on a stock rim just so it will stay out of the way.

It would probably be okay on a spare tire but not so good if its needed for full time use. I run 33X12.5s but not on stock wheels. There was a thread a while back that had picks of trucks running that tire size on stock rims..... If its mounted under the truck, its going to hang down a bit low too.

I wouldnt do it!!!!!!!!! I would go 9.5 at the widest on that stock rim. 33 x 9.5 is a great choice for that stock rim.

Several of us have done it. I've got a set of 33 x 12.5 Swamper TSLs on stock rims, but I wouldn't want to run them on road.

I run 33" X 12.5" on an 8" wheel and deflate down to 10psi with zero problems. But I have to agree 6" wheel is a but to small.

I have 33x12.5's but I run 'em on 8" wide rims.

FWIW, I don't think you could get a tire shop to put 33x12.5's on the stock rims. I've spoken to folks at several shops here in Billings, MT, and they are watching the size issues carefully to protect themselves from liability.

I should maybe add, I haven't run mine long enough to say it won't lead to problems, they've only got about 200 miles on them. On road, I run OE size tires.

i ran that size baja claw on the stock rims for a long time including several trips between colorado and california, lots of tight mountain road driving, and lots of aired down wheeling... i ran um all the way down to being bald and i had no problems

i now run that size all terrains on 8 inch rims and it looks darn near perfect
