The VAIS Tech systems did the trick in my 2008. It's has a quirky interface, but was an easy install and gives great sound.

You can buy small USB Bluetooth dongle that ores to your aux port. That is what I have. Cheap and easy. Work well.

As its bluetooth enabled I'm assuming that USB bluetooth dongle allows you to stream audio from your phone? Thought the USB jack only allowed for mass storage input.
The link BuddySuede posted above covers the install pretty well, not that it's difficult. Pulling the dash apart is super easy.
A friend of mine uses these in his 2008 and says it works great. Plugs into the aux port so no song information etc on the audio screen but quality is good.
The VAIS tech and American spec allows for information and audio controls almost exactly like the newer model vehicles.
