Camping trip: Salida, CO for the 4th of July weekend

We're planning on heading up to Salida from Friday 7/1/16 - Tues 7/5/16. As of now, the plan is to head up there Friday after work and camp out of Rick's backyard. Rick is a former ABQ transplant who retired in Salida. On Sat, Rick will show us some potential dispersed camping spots that we'll grab for a group of five rigs. I have friends coming in from the Midwest with three rigs and are planning on showing up sat night.

We'll make day trips to the local wheeling spots and of course experience Salida during the 4th of July celebration. On Tuesday Jessica and I will head back home while my Midwest friends will depart on Wed/Thus back to the Midwest.

Let me know if you can make it. I'll be towing the Kamparoo with the Runner again on this trip. Plan for mosquitoes although Rick said that he hasn't seen much in his area. The Great Sand Dunes was FULL of mosquitoes last weekend.

Looking forward to seeing my homies from KS and IL. I've never camped up there before and the Arkansas river sounds like a decent river to play in.

we visited Rick last year and saw bog horn sheep in the mtns there. good spots for camping.
