Gonna be spending some time in your beautiful neck of the woods in late September, and wanted to get your advice on places we should try to stay. We'll be heading up through the Badlands and making our way around the BH, north as far as Spearfish, then back through. Got no agenda, just need some fresh air.
We are fairly self sufficient and won't need hook-ups every time, just the occasional water fill. Two lightly modified 4Runners with off-road trailers, not there to run trails, but can get to some good camping spots. We missed the BHCC this time, went a couple times in the past, but never did the overnight. So if we got the necessary permits is that something you recommend?
