I've had & used this trailer for ten years now. The original plan was to get it painted white one day. That never happened. It was desert camo when I got it and was a PIA to sand blast the paint off, it didn't even show any wear at all, I also tried to use some chemical paint stripper that also didn't do anything. So I just rattle can painted it primer then streaks of other colors makeing it my urban camo paint. I
This week I had brackets welded to hold the ammo cans I bought for it 10 yrs ago to the side of the trailer and touched up the urban camo paint job.

Nice. I especially like the redundant bottle openers.... ;)

Did you fab the tool handle clamp? Details, along w/spec's on the ammo/fuel can bracket?? Ditto on your Yakima mounts (to the top rail)??

Or, wanna make a few bux fabbing up a couple for me??? :hhmm:

Actually the bottle opener got moved between pictures I only have one mounted to the trailer.

What I think you are calling a tool handle is the parking brake handle for the trailer comes on the M416 trailers.
The Yakima mounts are off of older style Yakima 1A towers. I had to bolt a 3x2 section of angle iron to the side of the trailer under the rolled edge. On top of that mounts a 2x2 square piece of metal the length of the bed. That is what the 1As are mounted to. They bolt from underneath & tighten the mounts to keep the round bars from sliding or turning.

The ammo can mounts were made by a guy I work with. I can ask him if he wants to make two more same size for same size ammo cans.

Hmm, I meant whatever's holding the shovel & ax onto the PS fender. edit: guess I coulda read the photo captions, sorry.

Thanks for the info on the yakima mounting.

Definately interested in getting some mounts: looks like your Blitz type can fits in there too. What size ammo cans are those?

The shovel/axe mounts were simple, two pieces of angle iron welded like a letter M with a bolt welded at the middle point, that holds them from the top with washer & nut underside.
The ammo can is a 20 mm Ammo can 17x17x14
. The NATO fuel can did fit in there but would rattle around because its not as wide as the ammo can.
PM me if you want the guys email that made the brackets.
Where in NM are you?
