Came across Warn M10000, what is it worth?

I have been passively looking for a used winch for my 80 for a while now. Ideally, I would like a M12000 or M15000. I stumbled across an older (serial number 33080/date code GE9) M10000 (maybe MX10000?) It is actually located where I am going for Thanksgiving, about 9 hours up the road. Seller is going to send pics soon. He is asking $500 but says make him an offer. If I can get it for $300 or less, would you do it? Should I just continue to wait for a newer M12000?
