If you took the HAM test last weekend, it appears that the call signs have been posted, mine popped up today, log on and search under your FRN number and it should show up.

I now have an AKA of KK6AVF

the Gattons all graduated.......now we have to learn how the radios work.

Courtney...........KK6AVA

Don.................,KK6AVB

Sheila...............KK6AVC

its not really all that hard, I just had to actually read the manual, to learn how to program it away from the computer. But if you are at the computer, just make sure you get the usb cables with your radios, and the free sfotware is easy to use.

What Radio did you get?

KK6AVG

I personaly picked up a Wouxun KG-UV3D, dual band (2m & 440) works great, and if you get the USB computer interface cable, very very simple to program. It took me just an extra day or two tio figure out how to do it through the radio keypad, but well worth it, now do not need to be at a computer to enter new mem channels. I can always clean them up when I do get to the puter.

That is the radio the Guy at they class showed us, I had forgotten about that.

How in the heck did you get BBQ as a call sign :)

Vanity call signs, they're all the rage. Many "TLC" call signs in TLCA.

I tried to keep it in area 6 (California), so I couldn't get KC6BBQ. but WB (Weber) was available.

Should be easy for people to remember.
