I am interested for sure Tim, but the 16 & 17th are no good for me, have to take care of the little one that weekend, weekend of 23/24 would work though, I would come out friday night and stay sat and sun and drive home sun late afternoon. Let me know.

I may be up to that also. It sure is nice to stay where thay have hot showers in the campground as well as the hotel option.

I would be going up Friday morning as well and returning Sunday afternoon.
I am thinking of reserving a cabin in the campground- anyone else interested? I think you can sleep six in them.

Take your tent,
head up Ft. Irwin Road from the 15,
at the "top" of the hill hang a right,
find a good spot for a base camp,
unload your gear,
15 minutes and you're at the bottom of the trails (empty),
wheel to the top,
camp for the night,
lather, rinse, repeat

Been there done that- as you well know the weather can be a mite fickle this time of year and aint nothing wrong with having a nice warm place to sip drinks, play cards, and shoot the s*** after a day of wheeling.
Hope you can make it out- want to see that pig
I got that part covered, Tim let me know if your gonna stay in the campground and I will get me a spot, cause I bring my own cabin.......
So long as I dont get bumped on shift bids for next year.........
The big bunkhouse is only $60/night and can sleep 20. Smaller ones are $80 and sleep 6, but they have a kitchen.

I reserved it for Friday and Saturday night ( 1-22/23). My brother is coming along and Abecker may show up as well. The fee also includes admission to the ghost town.

can we go to the ghost town drunk at 3am on Saturday night?......
The ghost town is mostly a tourist trap, but it may look different "off peak".
Is there only one mini-bunkhouse? I don't see it on the campground maps.
