I got an e-mail from the owner of a rental cabin we stayed in last year during the August Tellico / FJCTT ride.

He is selling the one we rented and 2 others he owns nearby.

I am not affiliated with this in any way, just throwing it out there since many here love Tellico and might be looking for something nearby.

If you want the full e-mail, let me know and I'll send it your way.

Which one did you rent? What did you think about it. If you have a contact different from those listed on the links, I'm interested.

Thanks!

Coker Creek and Cupid's Cove is on the Tellico Plains side...pretty far from the trails.

The last one is on Laurel Lake, which is NW of Tellico Plains...also pretty far from trails. I have some information on some FSBO land that I grabbed this weekend too. A few houses as well.

Looks like a partnership could net a large place...not sure how I feel about that yet :)

How far is far? I don't know the area well enough to be able to tell?

Tellico Plains itself is over 20 miles to the trails one way. Those places are further than that.

We rented the Angel Loft. It was a nice little house. Plenty of room for a family, including dogs.

The house / property sits at the end of a long driveway and is situated on the top of a small mountain. The land falls away pretty steeply from the house / small yard in every direction except for the driveway coming in. Gives it more of an isolated feel which was nice.

It had more than we needed for a short weekend, it would be nice to spend a full week there. The hot tub was especially nice after a long day on the trails.

I will PM you the e-mail from the owner. He was easy to deal with and very professional.

Dan is correct in saying the the places are not on the trails, far from it actually. When we rented it, being on the trails wasn't a priority for us.

From the house to State Line campground is a solid 45 minute drive from the Cherokee National Forest. The driveway to the house is on TN Highway 68 in Cokercreek, TN.
