It looks like I might be picking up a trailer tomorrow and I need a pintle hook that will fit into my 2" receiver. I know TSC has them but I really don't have time to run over there now...does anyone in Gville, TR or north Gville area have one I can borrow?

Thanks!

Northern Tool on Woodruff should have them, right?

Probably, and TSC - catch is I'm headed into the mountains tomorrow and might be able to pick up a trailer while I'm up there and I won't know until I'm there. In case I can't buy the trailer I don't want to be out $50-$75. I'll probably just make another trip up this weekend if I'm able to buy the trailer. :frown:

Go buy one. If you buy the trailer, you're good. If you don't, return the hitch unused.

I have a pintle into a receiver for the 60 you can borrow.
It's a 5 ton rated beast.
As per the phone it's in the 60's front passenger floorboard waiting for pick up.
Hope the trailer works out. I love our 53 Swiss Army trailer.
Warning: Unless you get the ride height correct those army trailer with a lunette/pintle
set ups can do the "death wobble" at high speeds.
Gundy's frame mount pintle and Yodel's lunette are perfect. Both have 33s for rubber
and Yodel tows like a dream. 65 to 70 is no problem. :grinpimp:
Attached to the 60 with the receiver pintle it tows like CRAP. The trailer tongue
winds up too high for the receiver hitch mount. No go over 50 or wobble occurs.
You can get adjustable pintles into receiver set ups. Henry Cox had one for his Shorty trailer.

If you end up getting the trailer and want a pintle for the truck let me know. I have a buddy that has 2 and may want to get rid of one. I will see tomorrow.

Dave

Agree with Gundy empty the trailer can death wobble pretth easy if the angle on the trailer is to steep. May want to take a spare or some sand bags with you and throw in the trailer over the axle to help.

I don't know what the U-Pull-Its and Pull-A-Parts are like in the Upstate, but I've noticed a ton of pintels lately on Forest Service and military rigs. There must have been a dozen or more for the taking during my last visit to the Augusta, GA Pull-A-Part.

So, where's the pics?

I saw the trailer yesterday but couldn't get a hold of the owner. Hopefully I can run up today after work to Saturday and pick her up.

Thanks for the hitch David!
