If You Were To Buy A Second 60 Series(if You Haven't Already) What Year And Why This Is To Help Fix Up My Current 85.. Fj60
What I Am Wondering Is What Year Has What Desireable Upgrade(if Any) Or Has Most Interchangeable Parts...

i dont' know why i voted 85. I guess an 85 or on mates better with the h55 tranny...

I guess in logic the 87 or later would be best since they might have more in common with the 62 series, bolt holes brakets, etc for switching between the 62 to the 60.

Anything that might be better, ie the xx has the diferent rearend, and a five speed. Body parts, more desirable look things like this. Specifically for me I need little things but if I have to replace something down the road I would rather upgrade than just replace.

Problem is that the definition of "desirable" is subjective - depends on you, and the truck you have now.

One possibility is the same year, but with less rust, and fewer miles.

No US trucks came with the 5 speed (bummer) so that's not an option.

A 62 is interesting because it has bigger mirrors, 4.11 diffs, rear seat w/headrests, and a few other "improvements."

Ideal would be to find a second truck that has working parts that correspond to the broken parts/worn parts on yours...

If youre just looking for a parts rig, id say a 62 is the best bet. Its got all the goodies in it, and youd be able to pirate the fuel injection too. Plus, less likely to be rusted.
