I am SHOCKED to see this car show back up in my auto trader search as I continue my LX 200 search....for those who don't know, I purchased this car, wired the full purchase amount and took delivery (500 miles away) and immediately found the Mark Levinson amp not working (carpets were damp) so the vehicle had NO sound... gps, radio, bluetooth, nothing. In addition, it needs a new Torque Converter/transmission.

Used 2013 Lexus LX 570 4WD

I paid $30,215 OTD and they had it listed at $34,500. I strongly suggest anyone interested stay FAR away from it. The car leaks water and has other stability/suspension issues. It doesn't drive right. I've driven a few 200's and none felt like this one. Buyer beware....

Did you run a Carfax? Wonder if it showed it had been in a flood

Yes, no flood history on carfax, just damage reported. The car was sold after the damage report as a Lexus certified vehicle which is why I even considered purchasing the vehicle. Car certainly could have been in a flood but it wasn’t shown on the history report.

So a ford dealer, not corner shops, are doing this? Glad you are out of it

These threads are great and all, but without the VIN, they are pretty much useless. Ads on the various listing sites come and go, but these threads will be searchable via the forum and google for a very long time.

Dealer with great online reviews/presence. That makes two of us. He told me they’d send it to auction once they got it back from me.

Sounds like 20-30 people should all leave some Yelp reviews for this dealer so people know how shady they are.

I think you should file a complaint with the BBB.
You should also ask for your expenses to and from the dealership. If they ignore you (which is likely) a call to the local TV station's scam alert reporter could get the attention this deserves.

FYI - I’m in the market and this truck (JTJHY7AX6D4094929) just came back on the market. No price listed yet. CARFAX is there too, no flood mentioned…just ”moderate” damage.

Check out this listing on Autolist!

I was just going to say this is why it's important to post the VIN, then I noticed this below post from 3 years ago 🤣
