I just got some nice new Toyota bumperettes and if their pewter is the same as the gauge cluster, glove box door, ash tray, etc then I'll have one scanned at my local paint store and have them make me an aerosol can to use on a variety of parts like bucket seat backs and other pewter painted parts.

Thanks,
Pete

Thanks Eddy. I know it's available all over but there's a top automotive paint store less than 5 minutes form me that is so darn convenient. I'll take him the paint code.

I thought I read that jtoutfitters has very poor service and customer service... Am I mistaken? Thanks!

Probably, usually. (?) I found this product to be a pretty close match. It's a bit bright, and I'd try the cool cruisers version first, though I don't find their products to be the highest quality either.

Here are pics of the JTO version from my '78. It's not as splotchy as it looks in the 2nd pic. The ashtray and glovebox are original paint for comparison. The console, heater, seat backs and evap cover are newly painted in the pics.

That looks real close to me... But, I'm colorblind...

Have you ever tried Cruiser Corps rattlecan paint? They have a pewter.

My 01/78 has a 416 paint code... I used Cruiser Corps 416 and, from what I could tell, it matched really close. But, I bought a couple of cans later and they were lighter and flatter.
