Bumper Weld Up - Coachella Valley

I'm looking for suggestions for a shop to weld up my Coastal Off-road rear bumper for my FJ80. I live in Coachella Valley down at the Indio/Coachella/Thermal end and was hoping there was a recommendation or an experience that this group can share.

Sorry, but I do not know of any shops that could weld the bumper for you. I have a muffler shop near me that does welding but it would be expensive to weld the bumper since it takes some time. You could check local muffler shops in your area.

Alternatively, buy a cheap Harbor Freight welder and do it yourself. My son did that with his skid plates and Coastal Off-road bumper and it came out pretty good. He had no welding experience and practiced on scrap metal beforehand. The bonus is you learn a new skill and you end up with a welder that you can use on other projects. Good luck!

That's actually a great idea! It's a little like getting your hair cut at the barber college. You gotta be ok with what you get, but they are surprised.
