Bumper Law in VA

Anyone know what the rules are on having/not-having a bumper?
Or if there are any size restrictons?

I have my front bumper off for suspension work and want to build a bumper at some point.
I may just mount a peice of 2x3 tube as a temp bumper to keep legal.

state law does not state that you have to have a bumper. I drove around for a couple of weeks without a bumper and did not get nabbed for it. I also some times drive the 86 around and it has a stinger that tops the hood by a foot or more. hope that helps you

nope that is a Trail Gear bumper

it would pass inspection, but the plates are NC at the moment about to swap them back over. although just becuz it will pass inspection does not mean that it is perfectly legal everywhere different cities have different laws.

That is the 8k verison its alittle on the slow side but it worked great the couple of times i have used it. my buddy has the 10k it works alittle better
