Radiator was toast. Working on a replacement. Nice thing is that this new one is shorter and raises the lower hose up severa inches allowing extra clearance on the driver side link.

Trying to decide on the winch mount, cut the frame off and rebuild or ground and salvage. Leaning towards cut frame by coilovers and run 2x3 to the front with a taper toward the center

You got the tires mounted! Yay! So are you coming to Turkey trot now? Clint was asking
No can do; birthday parties galore and family stuff. Besides I need to work on the radiator.

Going to redo the front to accomodate new radiator

Finding time has been hard as of late. Hopefully this coming weekend I can make some progress

Loading older pics. Got frustrated with the old wiring. Also, to help with starting, I am moving the battery to under the dash. This meant removal of old dash and gauges

Added ps filter, new plugs, and it is alive. Winch control box needed a mount so last night created one with all thread, scrap plate, and lock nuts

Been a year, and redid the dash. I got new gauges from amazon and an auxpro for my switches. I added a cellphone mount and a usb port to charge it. For years, I used my phone for tunes, but I got an upgrade with a bluetooth pyle box. Of all the mods, the tunes box has been awesome. The water temp and oil pressure gauges have been inaccurate, by alot; basically worthless.

I finally got a few trips under this setup. It has been great until this last trip over the weekend with random start issues and it dying unexpectingly. We did mess with the dist. Cap and that helped with the starting and runs fine once going. The buggy is running extremely hot. This is based on ass in seat, not measured. I am thinking stuck thermostat or not enough CFM on the fans. I will pull the thermostat when I get a chance

So chasing the heat issue. One, I believe the water temp gauge is reading in celsius. I tested the thermostat and it is fine.

I checked for coolant circulation to see if the water pump was good. That checked out. Then I played with the electric fan and noticed that at idle in this heat, it struggled to get the temp back under control. So I am leaning towards building a shroud, more CFMs, or both.

Temp after engine shutoff and fan running a few minutes. It was reading 100, which the water in the radiator was boiling which makes me think it is celsius
